I knew it'd been in the making and had looked forward to his firsthand account of what being on Harvard's faculty is really like. What offends? What is prized? What matters? What doesn't? How good are the students really, and how rewarding to teach? How collegial a place is it? Does one really have to wear a suit to the office?
