PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a rate at which a translation to an original sentence coincides with a reference translation of a source parallel translation sentence during automatic translation about a parallel translation sentence using a drill.SOLUTION: An optimization device 160 includes an automatic translation device 182 for extracting only sparse features from each translation sentence of a drill subset 170 being a subset of a drill set 90, and at least dense features from a development set 100, statistically translating an original language sentence of each translation sentence and outputting translation candidates having a high translation score. The optimization device 160 further includes a translation evaluation part 184 for calculating a BLEU score to each of the translation candidates, and an optimization processing part 176 for repeating translation by the automatic translation device 182 to optimize weight while changing weight values so as to improve a translation score calculated by the automatic translation device 182 about a translation candidate whose BLEU score becomes the best score among the plurality of translation candidates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
