The flexible scope for the testing laboratories accreditation: principles and stakes.

摘要

The accreditation of testing laboratories accreditation according to the EN ISO/CEI 17025 norm has opened new means for acknowledging the competence of these laboratories. This acknowledgement has been extended to other scopes than carrying out analytical works in the framework of the norms application. Because of the ability of the testing laboratories to provide advice and interpretation, they can be acknowledged in methods conception, adaptation and development according to this norm. This competence acknowledgement for developing and validating analytical methods leads to an increased flexibility in the accreditation of scope management. The accreditation in flexible scope allows to increasing the accreditation scope by the laboratory itself in a predefined field, without intermediary evaluation..
