It is with great pleasure that "RETINA, the Journal of Retinal and Vitreous Diseases," pays tribute to an incredible human being, Dr. Lawrence Yannuzzi. To carry out this task, we have invited individuals from around the world to share with us their thoughts and appreciation for a retina specialist who has meant so much to so many. As one can imagine, we found it necessary to limit the number of contributions printed on these pages and wish to apologize to the many individuals who contacted us and offered to contribute their congratulatory comments. We thank them for their interest and most certainly invite them to write to Dr. Yannuzzi directly. We know how touched he will be to receive their accolades.
