摘要

Native perennial forage shrubs are just one of the production tools researchers are studying to help graziers in low-to-medium rainfall areas. This article looks at the findings to date of the Enrich project and the many benefits the inclusion of forage shrubs in a grazing system has to offer. The inclusion of perennial forage shrubs on grazing properties in low-to-medium rainfall (300-650mm annually) regions of southern Australia has the potential to deliver many benefits. These benefits include whole-farm profitability and improved natural resource management. To look at these potential benefits in more detail and identify suitable species, the Enrich project was established in 2005.
