Affinity Purification of Antibodies: Optimisation Strategies of Protein A-coupled Silica Media

The large-scale production ofmonoclonal antibodies has become necessary for therapeutic applications of antibody drugs. For this purpose, new protein A-coupled silica media were developed by optimising pore size and surface area of silica supports. They showed high dynamic binding capacity and high throughput for antibody purification by affinity chromatography.
