Just two companies have paid up to view the documents relating to an integrated refinery project in Iraq's Nineveh province, a spokesman for Nineveh Governor Atheel al- Nujaifi, Ali Mahmood, tells International Oil Daily, although the names of the firms have not yet been announced. Nineveh's council last month invited firms to purchase documents relating to a planned project to build a 100,000 b/d refinery, develop the oil to supply it and also operate it -- although the council has not yet identified which oil field or fields will be tapped to support the plant (IOD Nov.19’13).
