Maria Martinez-Sierra, Grande Dame of Spanish Wine

HER HANDS WEAR the years and her eyes embody the fire from decades of earning her place in the wine world as the Grande Dame of Spanish wine. We talked with Maria Martinez-Sierra when she came to Tampa to host a winemaker dinner at the Columbia Restaurant. Maria Martinez-Sierra defied the odds when she took a part-time job while in college to show her father she could pay part of her educational expenses. She didn't know her gig in the wine industry would change her life and perhaps the lives of hundreds of young women who have walked along the trail she continues to blaze.
