摘要

Nuclear receptors (NRs) are a unique family of transcription factors that play a central role in many aspects of mammalian development, metabolism and physiology. NRs comprise one of the most abundant classes of transcrip-tional regulators of metabolic diseases and have emerged as promising pharmaceutical targets. Small heterodimer partner (SHP; NROB2) is an orphan NR distinct from other conventional NRs in both its structure and function [1].
