Leverkusen,Germany-Cardyon polyol from Covestro,which is made using carbon dioxide,is being used in the subfloor binder of a hockey pitch for the first time. The first customer for the new binder is the sports flooring producer Polytan. Bergheim,Bavaria-based Polytan is part of Sport Group. It uses the material to produce the floors,together with a rubber granulate.’We attach great importance to using sustainable raw materials,and are always on the lookout for ecologically more sensible alternatives to conventional products,’said Sports Group purchasing manager Daniel Klump.’Covestro guarantees exactly that with Cardyon.’
