Indian state-controlled refner IOC and Bangladesh are carrying out trial runs of exports of LPG to India’s northeast states before starting full-fedged shipments. IOC will import LPG shipped by Bangladeshi frms Omera Petroleum and Beximco LPG, and bottle and sell the fuel to India’s landlocked northeast states including Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim and Manipur, IOC says. Commercial operations are planned to start soon.
