New research finds allergy advisory labels worse than useless

New research suggests food products with allergy advisory labels are, in fact, more likely to contain peanuts, milk or eggs than unlabeled foods. "Our study underscores the need for allergic consumers to avoid advisory-Iabeled products, which present a small but real risk," the authors write in a letter to the editor published in the July 12 Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
