Knowledge based process monitoring in mass production

Especially in mass production process monitoring systems ore installed to ensure productivity as well as quality of production processes. Generally these systems ore set-up in a way such as to detect process deterioration's e.g. tool wear or toolbreakage. No provision is made to extract information about causes of process abnormalities. Therefore, a monitoring systems was developed to enable monitoring by means of data derived from signals picked-up by a torque sensor
