Europe is not known as a big trailer boat scene, the density of living and the steep cost of fuel being two major disincentives. However, despite these drawbacks the French have a surprisingly large number of outboard-powered trailer boats and inflatable sport boats. The Beneteau Flyer range is typical of the French trailer boat scene at present. These low, sporty fibreglass craft are obviously designed for the warmer climate of the Mediterranean, with a strong emphasis on open space and sun lounging.
