Kyowa weldable encapsulated strain gauges are widely used in the automotive, aircraft, and energy industries for stress measurement at high temperatures. Aside from the KHCX series for stress measurement of power generator gas turbines and jet engines at a maximum of 950℃, models with a maximum operating temperature of 800℃ or below are most widely used for stress measurement of automotive exhaust pipes. These models include the KHCD, KHCS, and KHCM, which are usable up to 800℃, 750℃, and 650℃ respectively. The KHCS and KHCM feature a half bridge, enabling temperature compensation and static/dynamic strain measurement, while the KHCD has a quarter bridge and is dedicated to dynamic strain measurement.
