Spot Price for LNG Contracted during June Drops to US$13.8/mmbtu

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan released survey results for June 2014 that the average price of spot LNG deals contracted during the month was US$13.8/mmbtu DES Japan, down by US$1.0/mmbtu compared to the preceding month. The drop is basically due to the loosened supply/demand balance. The average price of spot arrivals during June was US$15.0/mmbtu, down by US$1.3/mmbtu from the preceding month.
