A Surgical Treatment for Infected Pseudocysts of Peritoneal Sclerosis in Chronic Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

Sclerosing peritonitis is often associated with fatal, bowel occlusion and pseudocystic infected cavities. Infected cysts are extremely debilitating and refractory to medical treatment. Radical procedures attempting to enucleate the cyst are generally associated with prohibitive morbidity and mortality (1). We report here a simple and effective procedure involving irrigation and drainage of the pseudocysts.
