The two Councils, Babergh and Mid Suffolk, work together in a fully integrated way to deliver the best outcomes, services and value for money across their part of the beautiful county of Suffolk. Like all councils, they are focused on having the best impact on the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the many communities and individuals they serve -with significantly reduced resources. Suffolk is a county in the vanguard of transforming the way public services work; having a comprehensive programme of reforms funded by over £5m from Government and supported by a new approach to leadership and management. All Suffolk council leaders work together as a team supported by their chief executives, three of whom, like us are shared by two councils. Our health, police and other voluntary and public service colleagues are all working collaboratively resolutely focused on doing what's best for Suffolk and its communities. This work is now expanding to an emerging devolution deal for Norfolk and Suffolk. So Suffolk is not a place to rest on your laurels.
