Technical Textiles - DREF 3000: debut at the ITMA in Birmingham

First patented in 1973, DREF friction spinning developed by Dr. Ernst Fehrer, Fehrer AG, Linz/Austria is the only system available on the world market capable of creating high-tech yarn constructions in the medium and coarse yarn range which are tailor-made to the requirements of the end-use application. The Fehrer DREF friction spinning machine made its debut at the ITMA 79 in Hanover, while the ITMA '99 in Paris saw the unveiling of the DREF 2000, the successor to the DREF 2 series. Now, at the ITMA 2003, this tradition is being continued with the first public presentation of the DREF 3000, the only spinning system to offer the production of special high-tech, core and multicomponent yarn constructions in the Nm 0.5-25 (666-33 tex) yarn count ranges in a single, straightforward working process.
