Institutional Investor Journals' new web-based Practical Applications service is something I've always wanted but just didn't know it until now. So, it is the perfect Christmas gift for the geek who has everything. The Journal of Portfolio Management (JPM) is already a vital tool for people like me. As all of you know, JPM, along with perilously few others, fills the important niche between academia and practice. Although its articles vary in where they fall on this spectrum, JPM is a superb engineering journal.
