If one event captured the spirit of last year's London Design Festival, then it was Spanish designer Jaime Hayon's installation The Tournament, a life-size chess set placed in Trafalgar Square, Hayon's interactive installation became the public face of the festival - the picture that found its way into most of the magazines and newspapers. For the duration of the festival each year, the LDF is granted sole use of Trafalgar Square, and this year the space will host another interactive installation, Outrace, which festival organisers hope will be 'an equally stunning and exciting spectacle'.
