With federal funding, a national network of medical research institutions launched ResearchMatch.org on November 10. The website is designed to match willing people with research studies in need of participants. According to a disclaimer at the website, people who sign up "might be able to get involved with research that helps improve the health and well-being of society." Potential participants provide such information as date of birth, height, weight, sex, race, ethnicity, medications, and diagnosed health and medical conditions.
