从译者主体性角度看译员在口译过程中的角色定位

摘要

而今，尽管口译在国际会议，谈判协商以及跨文化交流中发挥着愈加重要的作用，译员地位被“边缘化”的问题却依然存在。在译者主体地位得到承认的同时，译员的主体性却受到诸多质疑。译员在口译中的角色被普遍定位为“透明人”与“隐形机器”，而其主体性的发挥也被一部分学者、翻译家视为对发言人原意的不忠。本文认为，口译既包括意义本身也包括对意义的理解与传达。因此，尽管译员在“意义”层面上须保持客观性，在意义理解与传达的过程中，他们与译者同样具有并应当发挥主体性。与译者相似，译员在口译过程中受到各方面因素的制约，有着一定的口译目的，并能在不同情境下对口译的表达方式以及语言风格做出相应调整。亦即，译者主体性理论的三个重要部分在口译中同样存在。此篇论文将通过证明译者主体性的“为我性”、“受动性”、“能动性”等特点在译员身上均有体现来证明译者主体性理论同样适用于口译。并对译员在如上三方面因素的影响下，对自身的角色定位问题进行分析、阐述并给出相应的建议。
　　本研究旨在说明，译员在口译过程中并非是永久“隐形”的，他们可以并应当在口译过程中发挥主体性，以将发言人的意愿更好地传达给听众。在口译过程中，译员并非只能扮演客观机器。是成为传话筒，参与者，协调者还是平衡器，取决于口译的目的以及影响口译的诸方面因素。译员以不同的角色、不同的身份积极参与口译活动，在表达方式及理解过程中适度发挥主体性，能更充分地发挥自身的作用并在一定程度上提高口译的功效。
