Progress in the synthesis of pleuromutilin and its derivatives

Pleuromutilin, as an important intermediate, is commonly used in the preparation of semi-synthetic antibiotics. With the continuous market demand for effective antibiotics, the preparation methods of pleuromutilin have received more and more attention. In this paper, the research progress in the synthetic methods of pleuromuilin is summarized, through literature retrieval and market research.
