摘要

The electrokinetics of the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete has been explained in the literature by the use of polarization curve schematics. Four states of corrosion can be delineated by these curves namely passive, pitting, general corrosion and active low potential corrosion. By using a modified previous developed electrokinetic model for iron corrosion the schematics can be replaced with more accurate representations of the corrosion states. Electrokinetic parameters can be generated by the deconvolution of measured polarization curves in synthetic pore solution. With the parameters various scenarios can be generated to show expected polarization behaviour at varied values of pH.
