In the substation infrastructure design system and the substation infrastructure design method using the same according to the operation method of the rapid charging type railway vehicle, the substation infrastructure design system includes a simulation unit, an operation method selection unit, a scenario establishment unit, a power analysis unit and a determination unit. The simulation unit receives initial information and simulates train operation. The operation method selection unit selects a station fast charging method. The scenario establishment unit selects the location and quantity of substations based on the train operation simulation result and the selected rapid charging method. The power analysis unit analyzes the power in the selected substation. The determination unit determines the validity of the selected scenario based on the analyzed power of the substation.
