The present invention relates to the technical field of medicines, and in particular, to an American cockroach extract, a preparation thereof, preparation methods therefor and applications thereof. The preparation method for the American cockroach extract in the present invention comprises the following steps: 1) soaking a fresh American cockroach in ethanol; 2) adding ethanol for reflux extraction, and then filtering and combining a filtrate; and 3) concentrating the filtrate into a concrete to obtain the American cockroach extract. According to the method of the present invention, environmental protection reagents such as ethanol are used, which improves the content of biologically active substances of the American cockroach extract, saves time, manpower and material resources, and energy, and reduces production costs. At the same time, the American cockroach extract obtained in the present invention has better anti-inflammatory activity, and contains an amino acid having a higher content.
