The device incorporates a fixing collar (13) independent of the reflector (1) and capable of being mounted on the latter in two different positions in which respectively, it provides a support for standardised tongues (12) on the base (6) of a bulb (4) of differing types. The collar is fixed on the reflector by snap engagement of catches (40-42) in anchoring holes (35-39) on the reflector. A plug (45), locked on the collar (13) by a bayonet mounting (51-55), ensures the immobilisation of the bulb with reference to the collar. The whole assembly is dimensioned sothat the plug cannot be locked on the collar if the bulb does not occupy a desired predetermined position with reference to it.
