DOCUMENTATION DEVICE FOR MIXED WRITING OF *KANJI* *CHINESE CHARACTER* AND *KANA* *JAPANESE SYLLABARY*

PURPOSE:To perform correct processing by severing a chain of erroneous conversion while maintaining the principle that grammatical connection relations should be checked, by outputting an identical word under the condition that it agrees with a stored single word whose character number exceeds a prescribed value without checking the grammatical connection relations. CONSTITUTION:A part to be converted into ''kanji'' is inputted as ''kana'' to character row input device 1, a word in the character string is made to correspond to word dictionary 4 through word dictionary retrieval device 3, and grammatical connection relations with words before and/or after it are checked by grammatical information checking circuit part 5. The word in the input character row, when corresponding to dictionary 4, is extracted in the longest length coinciding method and words stored while their character number exceed a prescribed value are inputted to output file 6 without being checked by checking circuit part 5. Identi words whose number of characters are less than predetermined number of characters are checked by circuit part 5 and inputted to field 6, so that correct processing is performed w hile maintaining the principle that the grammatical connection relations should be checked.
