Monoclonal antibodies directed against human protein kinase which is associated with interferon activity, and their production which involves a selection process specific for secretory hybridomas. Application of these antibodies and immune complexes derived therefrom to the assay of kinase, of exogenous substrates such as histones and factor elF2, and to the determination of circulating interferon in man.
