EVALUATION PARAMETER MEASURING SYSTEM FOR SPLIT TRANSFER BUS

PURPOSE:To make a measurement simple and efficient by executing the measurement for each command class and for each status class and the measurement of a bus use rate by partially expanding the fundamental function of a bus handler (BH) and adding counters or the like for measurement. CONSTITUTION:A multiprocessor system is composed of a common bus 1, first-(n)th CPU 2-1 to 2-n, common memory (CM) 3 and bus handler (BH) 4, and bus communication is executed between the arbitrary CPU or from each CPU to the CM 3. In the case, by partially expanding the fundamental function close to a split transfer bus in respect to the BH 4 and adding the counters or the like for measurement and an interface, the integrated number for each command class and for each status class and the bus use rate data are automatically measured. Thus, the measurement is made extremely simple and efficient in comparison with the method of using a general purpose logic analyzer.
