Independent surgical traction device for centromedullary osteosynthesis of the tibia

The surgical traction device for a leg fracture is a carriage which is independent of the operating table. It is heavy, movable, but can be fixed in position on the floor during the operation. It is a plate equipped with a frame which supports the traction system by screwing in order to perfect traction. The end of the device and the transcalcanean traction stirrup are secured together by means of a series of rods of variable length. The rods make it possible to reduce the height and the size of the device. The assembly leaves the leg to be operated on entirely free. Thus, there is no longer any obstacle during operative installation, and in particular it facilitates the rotation of the arch of the brightness amplifier about the fracture site. IMAGE
