ELECTRONIC CHINESE/JAPANESE DICTIONARY USAGE RETRIEVING SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To retrieve the meaning of Japanese corresponding to a Chinese word/ phrase without requesting a user to have deep knowlege concerning the Chinese character, word and phrase by a simple operation using a general use keyboard. CONSTITUTION:A Chinese/Japanese dictionary file 12 is provided with phonetic and voice tone symbol which indicates the phonetic symbol of the Chinese word/phrase by an alphabet and indicates the voice tone symbol of the Chinese word/phrase by the number, a Chinese chracter code indicating the Chinese word/phrase and a Japanese character code indicating the meaning of the Chinese word/phrase by Japanese. A phonetic and voice tone retrieving means 5 reads the Chinese character code and a Japanese meaning Japanese character code which correspond to the phonetic and voice tone symbol inputted by an input means 6 as the Chinese word/phrase being retrieved object from the Chinese/Japanese dictionary file 12.
