The particle filter system includes a regeneration burner (1) supplied with fuel and combustion, air and used for regenerating the particle filter at cyclic intervals. The regeneration burner is supplied with rinsing air outside the regeneration air, with a gal (2) driven from the engine, providing both the combustion air and the rinsing air. Pref. the fan has an electromagnetic clutch (4) and a parallel eddy current clutch used to allow the fan to be driven directly from the engine, or via a speed reduction stage, respectively. ADVANTAGE - Allows single fan to be used to supply both combustion air and rinsing air.
