The cage for a large rolling bearing has a plastics window inserted into the openings (3) between the side (4) and cross straps in the metal strip forming the cage, with a collar lying on the upper surface of the metal structure. The window has at least one guide shoulder (10) at the collar (8) of the plastics window, which grips round the outside of the side strap. The recesses (3) in the metal strip (2) are rectangular, and at least one side strap has a constant wall thickness (16).
