PURPOSE: To take off an extruded work without requiring a manual operation and damaging the work. ;CONSTITUTION: A work W formed into a columnar or cylindrical shape is extruded from an extruder. The work is placed on a take-off conveyor 13. The conveyor 13 is rotated in synchronism with a work extrusion speed. Because the take-off conveyor is supported by a large number of support plates 23 disposed crosswise, the work can be placed and taken off without deforming. If the diameter of the work to be formed is changed, the conveyor is held to a predetermined height by driving a lifting device 35. In this manner, the work can be taken off without an occurrence of scuff marks or deformation. In addition, a need for a lubricating oil which has been needed in a prior art and a need for wiping it thereafter are eliminated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
