Axial tension wave shaft gearing; has planar, rigid, circular spline and planar, toothed, flexible spline with toothings co-axial to rotation axis and wave generator to deform flexible spline
The gearing has planar, rigid, circular spline (4) on the upper side of which a toothing is provided, to completely circle the rotation axis (D) and arranged radially about the rotation axis. A planar, toothed, flexible spline (1) is arranged axially opposite the toothing of the circular spline. A wave generator dynamically deforms the flexible spline. The flexible spline has a peripheral contour in its toothed area without an external force acting on it, which has at least two formations perpendicular to the disc plane. The toothings of both splines are co-axial to the rotation axis. The teeth of the flexible spline are in two separate areas, each near one of the formations. The wave generator acts on the flexible spline under the action of forces parallel to the plane of the circular spline, so that the toothed areas run along the toothings.
