PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a template-matching method capable of efficiently making success of template-matching, even if works of different pattern data are provided.;SOLUTION: There are provided a CCD camera 18 acquiring an image of a designated pattern formed on a work, a memory 38 capable of storing plural template images to be compared with the pattern image acquired by the camera 18, a template-matching part 34 for comparing the template images stored in the memory 38 and the pattern image, and a storage part 37 for storing the pattern image failing, in matching with any template image as a new template image based on comparison results of the template-matching part 34.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
