摘要

The partially tubular construction replaces the normal construction with a tube forming the leading edge and separate upper and lower fabric or plastics skins reaching all the way to the trailing edge. The new system has a tubular leading edge and a double skin arrangement for the first one third of the chord of the kite wing. The remaining two thirds of the chord consists of a single thickness of fabric, supported by thin tubes running toward the trailing edge from the upper surface of the double skin portion.
