The multifunctional device for use when kite-surfing consists of a center connection on the aerofoil leading edge of the steering kite (a1) on an additional kite line, and its integration into the control and rigging system. A new type of guiding and connection to a centrally located and specially guided safety line (c3) is provided and designed so that even two-line kites can be trimmed according to wind strength, a self-reliant controlled landing for two and four line kits is made possible without extra assistance, and a relaunch after a water landing of the kite can progress simpler and quicker.
