GENE SET FOR DISCRIMINATING PULMONARY SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating the tissue type of pulmonary cancer, especially pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma. PSOLUTION: The method for discriminating pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma comprises detecting the expression of a gene in a gene set determined by the steps(i) to (v) described below: (i) standardizing the expression data of a pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma-specifically expressed gene group, (ii) sequencing genes with highly discriminative ability and preparing a list of these genes, (iii) selecting gene sets from the above list, (iv) rating the discriminative ability of the above gene sets, and (v) determining the gene set having discriminative ability.
