PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit a write-once information medium from being illegally reproduced without decreasing a region in which a data signal is recorded.;SOLUTION: The device is provided with an error discriminating part 27 discriminating an error position in an information medium based on a reproduced data signal, a comparison part 29 comparing second error information including information of error discriminated by the error discriminating part 27 with first error information, and a signal processing part 23 controlling whether to output a data signal reproduced based on the comparison result of the comparing part 29 to the outside or not. When the first error information coincides with the second error information from the result in the comparison part 29, the signal processing part 23 permits to output the reproduced data signal to the outside.
