In the classical approach of hierarchical clustering methods and methods for modeling populations such as the use of Minimum Spanning Trees, diving two problems that are not addressed at a fundamental level. The first problem is that all these methods result in different but equivalent results KUNEN result, while there is no way to get this degeneration again. The second, more fundamental problem is the fact that real, experimentally acquired data obtained by these methods are treated as exact data, where possible measurement errors can not be charged. The invention described here provides a framework that makes it possible to deal with both problems at the same time, and it is also independent of the choice of a particular clustering method, popular modeling method, or classification method. For that reason, the invention is applicable to all present and future methods described which exhibit one or both of the mentioned problems.
