SELENOPROTEIN O ANTIBODY FOR QUALIFICATION AND QUANTIFICATION OF SELENOPROTEIN, USED IN WESTERN BLOTTING AND IMMUNOPRECIPITATION

PURPOSE: An antibody to a specific region of selenoprotein O is provided to use in western blotting and immunoprecipitation and to quantify and qualify selenoprotein O.;CONSTITUTION: An isolated peptide comprises an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The peptide contains a cystein at N-terminal for KLH conjugation. The peptide is modified by amidation of C-terminal. An antibody which specifically binds to the peptide with an amino acid of sequence number 1 specifically binds to selenoprotein O. The antibody is used in western blotting or ELISA analysis. A method for detecting a specific polypeptide in a sample comprises: a step of contacting the antibody to the sample; a step of forming complex of the specific polypeptide and antibody; and a step of detecting the complex.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
