PURPOSE: A PC-based modular humanoid robot platform is provided to prevent the damage of components or circuits due to the collapse of a humanoid robot by using a sub-controller when a main controller is in trouble.;CONSTITUTION: A PC-based modular humanoid robot platform comprises a main controller(110), a plurality of robot modules(120), and a sub-controller(130). One or more PC are used as main controller. ID is applied to each robot module and the robot modules are controlled by communication protocol of the bus of the main controller. When the main controller is in trouble, the sub-controller performs functions for maintaining the humanoid robot system.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
