PURPOSE: An impact detection device of an industrial robot is provided to prevent the robot from being damaged caused by external shock by rapidly stopping the industrial robot when a proximity sensor can not detect a metal pin.;CONSTITUTION: An impact detection device of an industrial robot comprises a first flange(210) and a sensing unit. The first flange is connected to the leading end of a robot arm, and a protruding portion(211) is formed on one side of the first flange. One end of the sensing unit is in contact with the protruding portion of the first flange, and the other end is connected to a robot gun. The sensing unit detects external shock in a random direction based on changes in a distance between the first flange and the robot gun.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
