PURPOSE: A side wind compensation method of a motor driven power steering based on a camera sensor for a lane keeping auxiliary system is provided to create the effect reducing the steering fatigue of a driver and improve the control efficiency for monitoring time reduction of the straight driving.;CONSTITUTION: A side wind compensation method of a motor driven power steering based on a camera sensor for a lane keeping auxiliary system comprises following steps: a step of determining whether the driving speed of a vehicle is faster than a base speed; a step of determining whether the vehicle is straight driving based on the information including a front road curvature obtained from a camera sensor of a lane keeping assist system, a heading angle, and a cross direction phase of the lane if the driving speed is faster than the base speed; and a step of determining the generation of a steering torque if the vehicle is determined to be in straight driving; and a step of compensating the generated steering torque when the steering torque generates.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
