Partial embodiments of the present invention relate to a free track exercising tool apparatus capable of controlling a virtual reality animation and a virtual reality animation control method thereof. The free track exercising tool apparatus can control the virtual reality animation by receiving the movement of a user in a first axis direction and in a second axis direction. The free track exercising tool apparatus includes: an exercising tool unit including first and second axis frames forming a mechanical pattern of the movement of the user in the first and second axis directions, a rope connected to the second axis frame, and a transmission unit transmitting the movement of the user by being connected to the rope; an exercise measuring unit which senses the movement of the user being transmitted through the exercising tool unit and measures user exercise information of the first axis and second axis; a track calculating unit which uses the measured movement information of the first axis and second axis to calculate the movement track of the user body in a predefined coordinate plane; an animation control unit which selects a game character animation corresponding to the calculated movement track among multiple animations of a game character; and an animation playback unit playing the selected game character animation. The first and second axis frames are connected at a preset angle while the other end of the second axis frame is connected to pedals. The animation control unit controls the playback speed of the game character animation being played in accordance with the linear speed of the calculated movement track or the reciprocating cycle of the calculated movement track.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
