PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction method of lift data of a cam processing surface and a processing method of the cam processing surface which prevents the deterioration of processed quality of the processing surface of the cam by properly correcting data of a portion on which a change of processing conditions in original lift data of the cam increases and, at the same time, can hold down an error of contour shape of the cam within allowable error range.SOLUTION: An original lift amount of original lift data is temporarily corrected such that a change rate of processing conditions on each processing position of an outer circumferential surface of a cam based on an original lift amount with respect to a cam rotational angle comes to a preset change rate threshold or less by using correction calculation means, and the original lift amount with respect to the cam rotational angle is corrected to a final correction lift amount based on a temporary lift error as a difference between a lift amount temporarily corrected on each processing position and the original lift amount, preset lift error threshold and a change rate of processing conditions and a change rate threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
