An object of the present invention is to provide a binder composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery positive electrode capable of forming a positive electrode from which a nonaqueous secondary battery having excellent lifespan characteristics can be obtained even when an aging treatment is performed under conditions of low temperature and low filling depth. The binder composition of the present invention comprises a first binder and contains at least one of iron, ruthenium and rhodium, and the total content of iron, ruthenium and rhodium is 5 per 5 parts by mass of the first binder × 10 -3 parts by mass or less.
